Hello, I’m Darren, the heart behind Guided by Light.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been deeply aware of the energies around me, in people, places, and homes. Over time, I felt called to use this sensitivity to help others, especially those living in spaces that felt unsettled or burdened by spirit activity.

I’m not a ghost hunter, I feel my work is more rooted in compassion, guiding earthbound souls peacefully into the light and restoring harmony to the homes they leave behind. My work is about compassion, not fear. I believe every soul deserves peace, and every home should feel safe. When a spirit becomes stuck, it isn’t “haunting” in the way films might suggest, often it simply needs guidance, reassurance, and a gentle hand to help it move into the light. I use floor plans as a way to connect remotely, tuning into haunted homes and spaces with care and respect. This allows me to sense what’s present, clear heavy or unsettled energies, and guide earthbound souls onward. My role is both to help the spirit find peace and to restore balance and comfort for the people living in the home.

I approach this work with openness, grounding, and integrity , creating a safe and supportive space for you to share your experiences, and to find relief in knowing that your home can be peaceful again.

My purpose is simple: to bring light where there is heaviness, peace where there is unrest, and harmony where it has been lost.

Visiting Montségur which is steeped in history and energy, the last Cathar stronghold, where so many lives were lost. It's at this location I had a spirit present herself to me here.

I experienced something extraordinary. As I stood among the ruins, a spirit-ghost made herself known, and her presence was captured on camera.

It wasn’t frightening. Instead, it felt like a moment of recognition, a soul reaching out, still waiting to be acknowledged. Encounters like this remind me why I do this work: to bring compassion where there is unrest, and to help guide souls gently into the light so they can finally find peace.

Places like Montségur carry more than stone walls; they carry the memory of lives and the voices of those who have not yet moved on. My role is to listen, to honour, and to help them take that next step toward freedom.
